Fon language

The Fon language is part of the Gbe dialect continuum and belongs to the Kwa sub-family of the Niger-Congo languages.

Fon (along with Ewe and Anlo) is the subject of ongoing linguistic research into the African origins of Caribbean creole languages. See Gbe languages for more info.
