Follow the Leader (Eric B. and Rakim)

Follow the Leader is an famous hip-hop album released by the pioneering duo Eric B. and Rakim in. It was their second album, released a year after their very successful debut album Paid in Full that was released 1987. Follow the Leader too, was a huge success and is today seen as one of the most influential hip-hop albums ever.

Today the most remembered song in the album is Microphone Fiend in which Rakim raps a portrait about his growth and addiction to hip-hop. In 2000, Rage Against the Machine made a cover of that song.
