Foley Island
Foley Island, Nunavut.
Foley Island is one of the Canadian arctic islands located in Nunavut, Canada. It is along the southern coast of Baffin Island in the Foxe Basin at 68°32'N 75°05'W, and measures 637 square kilometers in area.
The island was one of the most modern Canadian discoveries, spotted in 1948 by a Royal Canadian Air Force crew flying an Avro Lancaster, a flight during which neighboring Prince Charles Island and Air Force Island were also found.
