Fokker 60

The Fokker 60 is a stretched version of the F50. The F60 is easily recognisable from the F50 in two ways. Firstly the F60 is longer. Its total length is 26,87 metres, making it 1,62 metres longer than the F50. Secondly the F60 has a large cargo door on the right side immediately behind the cockpit.

Only four planes where built, all of them delivered to the Royal Netherlands Air Force. All of them are part of 334 squadron based at Eindhoven airbase (EIN/EHEH). They are used to transport equipment and soldiers. Paradrops are done as well. Two of the F60s will be converted to perform maritime patrols in the Caribbean to replace the Orions that have been retired. There are plans to sell the other two to fund a new C-130 Hercules, though nothing is confirmed yet.

Next to the four F60s mentioned above, another one was under construction. Due to Fokkers bankruptcy it was never completed.
