Fluorophor

(Redirected from Fluorophors)

A fluorophor is a compound that emits light via fluorescence.

In scientific terms the difference between a fluorophor and a phosphor is important. However, laymen generally refer to any compound that, upon irradiation with light of one wavelength, will emit light of a different wavelength as a phosphor.
