Florence Craye
Lady Florence Craye is a fictional character who appears in P. G. Wodehouse's Jeeves stories and novels. Lady Florence, the daughter of Percy Craye and elder sister to Edwin, a nasty little runtish type of lad, was the fiancee of Bertie Wooster in his first novel, Jeeves Takes Charge. However, the state of relations soon deteriorated after Bertie discovered that she was a little too forceful for his liking. Bertie was not wrong in his judgement, as it is later revealed that her staff refer to her as "Lady Caligula".
In later novels, she became engaged to the burly police officer D'arcy "Stilton" Cheesewright; nevertheless, on more than one occasion, Bertie accidentally got engaged to her again, much to the irritation of Stilton, who threatened repeatedly to break his spine in an increasing number of places. Bertie was eventually able to break the engagement with the help of a scheme thought up by Jeeves; Florence and Stilton, however, parted company for good.
