Fledgling Records

Fledgling Records (sometimes written as Fledg'ling) were founded in 1995. They have re-released many albums previously issued by Hokey Pokey Records. They both specialise in classic and new folk and folk-rock of the British Isles. They are both based in London but their organisations are low-profile. They are perhaps funded or supported by enthusiasts of this kind of music – Richard Thompson and the Oysterband – but it is hard to tell. The most highly acclaimed releases by Fledgling have been boxed sets of Sandy Denny and Shirley Collins.
