Finlux
Finlux is a Finish corporation that makes various types of entertainment related products from plasma televisions to DVD players. The company was formed in 1975 by a consortium headed by Dr Tuomo Suntola. The company stayed independent for 16 years but because of the failings in the Soviet Union in 1991, the company got took over by Planar in the same year. Before getting taken over it developed film electroluminescence technology which would be an ideal flat panel display. This theory started the company which they are now using in their television range.
