Felix Longoria
Felix Longoria was a Hispanic private in the United States Army. 7 months after going to the Philippines for a volenteer mission during World War II, he was killed. His remains were not returned to the United States for some time, and the only funeral home in his texas hometown wouldn't allow him to lay in state there because "the whites would not like it". The junior congressman from the area managed to get him the right to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
