Felix Hoppe-Seyler

1825–1895, German physiologist and chemist. His numerous investigations include studies of blood, hemoglobin, pus, bile, milk, and urine. His work led to advances in organic chemistry by his pupils and by Ehrlich. He wrote Physiological Chemistry.
