"Escapade" was a 1990 hit single by pop music diva Janet Jackson. With the release of this camp, fun-filled song, Jackson hit the '90s in stride as an artist on the rise to the top and saw her status becoming a gay icon. The song became as famous for the fantasy-infused video that came to promote it. The song was written by Jackson, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and peaked at #1 on both Billboard's Pop and R&B singles chart.
