Esashi, Iwate

Esashi (江刺市; -shi) is a city located in Iwate, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 33,134 and the density of 91.40 persons per km². The total area is 362.50 km².
The city was founded on November 3, 1958.
