Eric Hermelin
Eric Hermelin (1860-1944) was a Swedish translator and author. Hermelin is most famous for his translations of Persian poetry written by old Sufi poets.
Hermelin spent the years 1909-1944 in the S:t Lars mental hospital in Lund where he translated works by, among others, Farid al-Din Attar, Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi, Jakob Böhme, Omar Khayyam, Shaikh Saadi and Hakim Sanaie.
