Eric Carlson
Eric Carlson (1894 – 1932) was a World War I veteran from Oakland, California. He participated during the height of the Depression in a rally for veterans benefits in Washington DC called the Bonus march. The US army sent tanks, calvary and soldiers with bayonet-affixed rifles to disperse the veterans and burn their camp, and Eric Carlson was shot dead, along with other veterans such as William Hushka.
