Equalism

(Redirected from Equalist)

Equalism is the name of many disjointed political philosophies developed separately by political activists, most often in response to failings they saw in Feminism.

Equalism is based upon the political assertion that all individuals must be equal before society, and that every person is deserving of equal protection from and by society. Equalists generally believe that feminism has abandoned notions of equality, and instead focuses only on women's rights, to the exclusion of the rights of other genders. Equalists often differ with mainstream leftists in condemning discriminatory elements of Affirmative Action.

Equalism is also often called pragmatic-anarchism.
