Eqtesad-e Golestan Newspaper

Eqtesad-e Golestan Newspaper is an independent socio-economic Persian language weekly published in Gorgan, Golestan, Iran. The first issue of it appeared on the newsstands throughout Golestan province and especially in the capital, Gorgan city, on 18/2/2005. This is the fourteenth in the row of regular newspapers to be published in the province since 1996. Mr Moosa Jorjani, a Sunni Muslim of Iranian Torkman ethnic minority, is its license holder & official director, and Mr Abdonnasser Mohaimeni, an Iranian Shii Muslim of Fars origin is its editor-in-chief & executive manager. The newspaper has the largest circulation ever recorded in the history of local newspapers in North Iran (22500 copies). Five issues have been published so far (7 May 2005).
