Epsom is an inner suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is located between Mt Eden and One Tree Hill, south of Newmarket, and five kilometres south of the city centre.
The area is known for its tree-lined, well-ordered streets, parks and a great variety of architecture, with century-old villas competing with late 20th century modern housing. Auckland College of Education is situated at this district.
Epsom is noted for the Epsom Girls' Grammar School and as the name of an electorate where a subsequent Mayor, Christine Fletcher, was elected as M.P. in 1996. The current M.P. for Epsom is Richard Worth, as part of the National Party.
