The Environmental Transport Association is a United Kingdom breakdown and road rescue company, but unlike the Automobile Association or RAC plc which are preceived as pro-car, the ETA aims to raise awareness of the impact of excessive car use and help individuals and organisations to make positive changes in their travel habits.
The ETA was started in 1992. It conducts and commissions research into environmental transport issues. It actively lobbys government and key-decision makers to discuss new thinking in environmental transport. They claim to be the world's first climate-neutral motoring organisation.
