Entertaining Mr Sloane/temp
First performed in 1964, Entertaining Mr Sloane is a successful play written by esteemed playwright Joe Orton.
A tale of debauchery and sin, this is an example of the amorality that Orton was apt to portray on stage during the 1960s. One might suggest that this was an artistic mirror of his experiences in his own life.
Indeed, one theme from the play was tragically played out in real life, as Orton was murdered by jealous partner, Kenneth Halliwell
