Enlow fork
Enlow Fork Mine is located in southwestern Pennsylvania and produces coal from the Pittsburgh 8 Seam using two longwall systems and six continuous mining machines. Coal from the mine, which is transported to the surface by conveyor belts, is processed in the Bailey Central Preparation Plant where it is fully washed. Enlow Fork is one of the largest underground coal mines in the United States. In 2004, it produced 10.2 million tons of coal.
