Emagic Logic
Emagic Logic is a music sequencing application, originally produced by the German Hamburg-based firm Emagic since 1992, and developed from the earlier program Notator (subsequently called Notator Logic).
Its primary competitors are ProTools, Digital Performer, Cakewalk's Sonar and Steinberg's Cubase. Since the purchase of Emagic by Apple Computer Corporation, it was announced that the Windows version of the program will no longer be updated.
In 2004 Emagic Logic Audio, Logic Platinum and Logic Silver were re-branded into two packages, Logic Pro and Logic Express, bringing Logic into line with the marketing of other professional Apple software.
