Ellen Kushner

Ellen Kushner is an award-winning fantasy author, born in Cleveland, Ohio. Her second novel Thomas the Rhymer won the World Fantasy Award in 1991.

Her first novel, Swordspoint (1987), and its sequel (with co-author Delia Sherman), The Fall of the Kings (2002), are rich, complex Fantasies of Manners set in the imaginary city of Riverside where swordsmen-for-hire ply their trade.

Kushner hosts the radio program Sound and Spirit, produced by WGBH in Boston and distributed by Public Radio International.
