Ebisu is a fashionable shopping district (named after Ebisu, the god of wealth), with many sidewalk cafes and fashion shops. It is adjacent to Daikanyama, famous for fashion boutiques. The Yebisu Garden Place ([1]) complex, connected to Ebisu Station by travellator, has been a meeting and sightseeing spot since its completion. It stands on the site formerly occupied by a brewery, one of whose products, Yebisu Beer, uses an older spelling of the name of the god of wealth.
