Eastern Suburbs RUFC
The Eastern Suburbs Rugby Union Football Club are a team in the Shute Shield and Premier Rugby, the premier club rugby union football competition in Australia.
Based in Rose Bay in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, the Roosters rugby league club has been in existence since 1900, is the oldest district rugby club in Sydney
Easts have won 10 premierships. These include 1903, 1913, 1921, 1931, 1941, 1944, 1946, 1947, 1969 and 2003 in the NSWRU competition.

Club history
Eastern Suburbs were founded at a meeting held at Paddington Town Hall on March 22 1900. At this meeting the choice of colours was made of red, white, and blue, similar to those worn by the British Lions on their 1889 tour. The club though temporarily played in black and white for their inaugral season.
