Dyffryn Taf
Dyffryn Taf is the name of a comprehensive school in Whitland, Wales. It was founded in the 19th century as a small grammar school, and has expanded since then into a large school of approximately 1500 pupils.
The latest additions to the school buildings have been a new maths block and an extended gym. A leisure centre is currently under construction.
Dyffryn Taf school is well known locally for its under 18's boys hockey team. A large proportion of boys in the sixth form take part in hockey every year, training on the school's red-gra.
Current head boy and head girl are Matt Pickup and Sarah Bevan. Top students include Lloyd Wells, who qualified for the South Wales chess championship and reached the national final of the UK chemistry quiz.
The head of sixth form is Steve Jarvis.
