Durham has existed twice in history:
Fist creation
Durham was created in 1903 from Durham East and Durham West. It was abolished into NorthumberlandDurham in 1966.

Second creation
Durham was created again in 1987 from DurhamNorthumberland. It consists of the municipalities of Clarington, Scugog and Uxbridge as well as the Mississaugas of Scugog Island Indian reserve. It was known as ClaringtonScugogUxbridge briefly from 2003 to 2004.
