DuPage Valley Conference

The DuPage Valley Conference (DVC) is an organization of eight high schools in northeastern Illinois, representing seven communities in Chicago's suburbs. These high schools are all members of the Illinois High School Association. The Conference, organized in 1967, exists primarily for inter-school athletic competition in 21 sports. There are also three non-athletic competitions in which DVC schools participate: Chess, Math competitions, and Scholastic Bowl.

Seven of the current high schools are within DuPage County, Illinois, and the eighth lies within Kane County, Illinois. The conference derives its name from the DuPage River, which flows through two of the seven represented communities (although students from towns on the DuPage River do attend more of the member schools, due to attendance boundaries). While the conference has typically kept a constant membership of eight high schools, the actual membership of the Conference has changed since the founding. One change during the 1990s was a membership change from the old Wheaton Central High School, as that building became Hubble Middle School, to Wheaton Warrenville South High School, as that building was re-commissioned as a High School from its previous incarnation as Wheaton Warrenville Middle School. West High School in Aurora, Illinois became the newest member in 1997.
