Djurgårdens IF Fotboll is the football section of the Swedish sports club Djurgårdens IF located in Stockholm. The club, formed 12 March 1891, has won 10 national championship titles and 3 national cup titles. They are currently playing in the highest Swedish league, Allsvenskan. The supporter club is called Järnkaminerna.
History
Djurgårdens IF was founded 12 March 1891 at a café on Djurgården. The first real football field in Stockholm was created in 1896 and a football section of Djurgårdens IF was started in 1899. Just a few years later, in 1904, the first championship final was played, ending in a defeat against Örgryte IS. The first championship victory came in 1912 after two final draws and a replay which Djurgården won.
