Division of Burke
The Division of Burke was an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria. The division was first proclaimed in 1949. The division was abolished in 1955, re-established in 1969 and again abolished in 2004
About the electorate
The division is named after Robert O'Hara Burke, an explorer who lead the Victorian expedition in 1860 in an attempt to cross Australia from south to north.
