Ditherington
Ditherington is a district within the town of Shrewsbury, county town of Shropshire. The Flaxmill (also locally known as the "Maltings") there is the oldest iron framed building in the world and is seen as the "grandfather of skyscrapers". It unfortunately lies derilict and needs much investment to keep it standing, let alone used. Shrewsbury and Atcham borough council are looking at redeveloping the buildings and surrounding land. On 31 March 2005, it was announced that English Heritage would buy the Flaxmill, so that it could be redeveloped.
