Dialogues of the Carmelites
Dialogues of the Carmelites (Dialogues des Carmélites in French) is an opera by Francis Poulenc. Emmet Lavery, who wrote the libretto, based the opera on a screenplay for the same story written by Georges Bernanos. It was first performed on 26 January 1957 at la Scala in Milan.
