DiLingo

DiLingo is a constructed language of humorous intent, created ostensibly by one "sUmUs cAcOOnUs, D.E.", true identity undetermined. Its limited vocabulary and syntax are constructed around a few rhyming morphemes and affixes.

For instance, the English verb "be" corresponds to the DiLingo morpheme "ing", which happens to rhyme with all the major subject pronouns: "I am" = "ing ing"; "you are" = "ying ing"; "he/she/it is" = "ting/sing/ring ing". Similarly, "do" = "ding". Basic verb tenses are achieved by changing the morpheme's vowel, but any pronoun subject must change its vowel to match. "She was" = "Sang ang"; "He will have done" = "Tung zung dung". The imperative is designated by the hyphenated prefix "cha-", leading to such gems as "Pay!" = "Cha-ching!"
