Dexter Jackson

Dexter Jackson (born July 28, 1977 in Quincy, Florida) is a free safety in the NFL. He recently re-signed with his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2005).


Super Bowl Glory

Jackson was the Super Bowl MVP of Super Bowl XXXVII, recording two interceptions which turned the momentum of the game in favour of the Buccaneers. His margin of victory for the award was the "fan vote" in which he gained four votes based on internet polling. Were it not for the fan votes, Simeon Rice would have won the award.

After winning the Super Bowl MVP award, Jackson accepted a large offer from Arizona. Unlike Larry Brown, Jackson's play did not drop off on his new team, and he even recorded an interception in the end zone to give the Cardinals their first win of the 2003 season. The quarterback who threw the pass was none other than Brett Favre.

College Career

At Florida State won All-Conference,and All-Academic honors.He finished his college career with 194 tackles,7 interceptions,16 passes defensed,1 forced fumble,1 fumble recovery,and blocked an amazing 4 field goals.
