Devequt
Devequt or devekut or dvekus is a Hebrew word denoting "being close" to God. The Hebrew word for glue is devek and it is the root for devekut.
It is used in a spiritual and religious context, particular within Hasidic Judaism to describe the goals for a Jew during Jewish prayer or when performing the 613 mitzvot (the "commandments") who should obtain the level devekut meaning "cleaving" and coming very close to God and eventually during all stages of life.
