Deja Vu (video game)

Deja Vu.

Deja Vu is a Nintendo game by Icom Simulations, Inc., in which the character has lost his memory and must solve the mystery of his identity. The setting of the game is apparently a U.S. city, circa December 8, 1941, judging by a headline seen at a newstand midway through the game.

The parser is very similar to that of Uninvited. The character can take and use a variety of objects. It is impossible to get in a situation from which one cannot win. However, sometimes the solution is very difficult, and the only way to figure it out is to start randomly USEing certain objects in the inventory on each other.

Like Uninvited, the cartridge has a battery-based nonvolatile RAM, allowing the game to be saved and resumed later. If the character dies too many times, however, the game is deleted and the player must restart from the beginning.
