Dei Hamo

Dei Hamo (real name Sane Sagala) is a Polynesian rap/hip-hop recording artist from New Zealand. He currently lives in Glen Innes, Auckland.

Dei Hamo went to Aorere College, Papatoetoe in the late 1980s where he was first exposed to the hip-hop genre.

He claims to have written a song a day since then.

His 2004 hit We Gon' Ride spent five continuous weeks at number one on New Zealand's music chart, and 3 months in the top 10, it also went platinum.
