Dagligvarer
Dagligvarer is a Norwegian Black metal band, which was originally formed in 1992. The original members of the band were vocalist Lord Blasphemus, and guitarist Insinerus. From conception, the band has been surrounded by much controversy, including murder, suicide, and other forms of violence. Taking its inspiration from the seminal Norwegian black metal group Darkthrone, Dagligvarer are well known for their extreme music. The self-proclaimed 'true-est' band in history, Dagligvarer are hard to listen to, even for a Black Metal band. Their chaotic nature, extreme blast beats, illegible vocals and heavy distortion define the genre. Their song lyrics are stereotypically Black metal evil, with topics including Satanism and forests, with a focus on anti-religious themes.
Dagligvarer had a tumultous history from the beginning; the band underwent many line-up changes before even releasing a demo. Not soon after conception, the band would have to deal with the tragic death of one of their members, and the not-soon-after incarceration of another. However, the band would perservere through these tragedies to become a major contributor in the true Black Metal scene.
