Raymond Ayala
Raymond Ayala a.k.a. Daddy Yankee or El Cangri ('The Boss') (born February 3, 1976 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico) is a reggaeton rapper.
His song "Gasolina" from last year's CD, "Barrio Fino", has sold over 500,000 copies in Puerto Rico and many more in the United States. He has appeared on more than 50 albums, including "Más Flow", "Blin Blin Vol. 1" and others. Yankee also performed with Nas in the Madison Square Garden and recorded with DJ Tony Touch.
Daddy Yankee got his start on the local scene in the early 1990s alongside Playero DJ, one of the pioneers of reggaeton music. Yankee has also performed with Luny Tunes, DJ Blass, DJ Eric, Eliel and others.
