Cuscatlán Department
Cuscatlán is a department of El Salvador in the center of the country. The capital is Cojutepeque. This is El Salvador's smallest department. It has 736.19km2 and more than 300,000 people.
It was created on May 22, 1835. Suchitoto was the first capital of the department but on November 12, 1861, Cojutepeque was made the capital.
It produces fruits, tobacco, sugar cane, coffee, etc.
On the North, there are a series of valleys and on the South is hilly.
