Cracker was a US television crime drama, and a remake of a British television series, also called Cracker. The US version starred Robert Pastorelli as Gerry Fitzgerald and was created in 1997. The series consisted of 16 hour-long episodes, many of which were almost identical to episodes of the original British series. Just to confuse matters, Robbie Coltrane, the star of the original series, appears as a villain in an episodes of the US remake. When the US show was shown in Britain it was retitled Fitz.
