Crackpipe

Crackpipe is a slang term for a device used to smoke crack cocaine. Crackpipes are generally glass, to allow for the indirect heating of the crackrock. A torch type of lighter is generally used to heat the crackrock to the point of vaporizing.

This term is used in the expression "Put down the crackpipe!"- meaning "What are you crazy?", or "Get your head out of your ass!".

Using a crackpipe is sometimes referred to as "playing baseball". This phrase refers to the fact that crack is cocaine in its freebase form.
