Constantine (movie)
This page documents the movie of the name. For other meanings of, see Constantine.
Constantine is a 2005 movie based on the Hellblazer comic book, and was released on February 8, 2005 in HKSAR, February 18, 2005 in the US.
The film features Keanu Reeves as John Constantine, whose casting was castigated by Hellblazer fans upon its announcement. Other complaints include background details that are not in keeping with the comics, such as that Constantine is not from Liverpool, England as he was with the comic book, and that the character himself has a markedly different personality from the original. Another complaint was the actor did not resemble Sting, on whom the character was based (at least visually).
