Coedpoeth
Coedpoeth is a Welsh village, which means Burnt/Hot Wood in English. It was surrounded by natural resources such as lime, Iron Ore, Coal, and lead, and many ruins show the industrial past of the area. The earliest industry was iron making, aka Smelting. This used wood giving the village its name. A portion of the village has roads with Smelt in it, maybe this is where it happened? Coedpoeth is also surrounded in beautiful countrysid,e and excellent views of the Cheshire Plains and the town of Wrexham. It has the neighbouring Clywedog valley, containing several walks. Coedpoeth was and still is debated the largest village in North Wales, perhaps all of Wales.
