Coast Capital Savings

Coast Capital Savings is a credit union based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is the second largest Credit Union in Canada. The credit union was created out of a untion between Richmond Savings Credit Union and Pacific Coast Credit Union in 2000. In 2002, Coast Capital Savings merged with Surrey Metro Savings. Coast Capital Savings currently offers VISA through Desjardins, a credit union in Quebec.

In October 2004, the real estate arm of Coast Capital Savings merged with Royal LePage. In 2005, it launched its 'Free Chequing, Free Debit and More' Account, the first retail financial institution in Canada to launch a free chequing account.

As of 2005, the credit union has $7.2 billion in assets, 2000 employees, 44 branches and around 300,000 members.
