Clarinet Concerto (Nielsen)

Carl Nielsen's Clarinet Concerto was written for Danish clarinetist Aage Oxenvad in 1928. The concerto is presented in one long movement, with distinct theme groups. The writing poses numerous technical challenges for the advanced college and professional player. A typical performance will last approximately 25 minutes.
