Christopher O'Riley

Christopher O'Riley is an American pianist and radio show host, who is known mostly for his renditions of Radiohead's songs using only a piano.

O'Riley has also produced many recordings of classical music. His debut album, a collection of the works of Ferruccio Busoni, including the monumental and seldom performed Fantasia Contrappuntistica, was released in 1983. He has since released several recordings, including works of Maurice Ravel, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Jean-Philippe Rameau, John Adams, Igor Stravinsky, and Alexander Scriabin. His Rhapsody in Blue with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is also still available.

True Love Waits, his recording of his own piano arrangements of songs by Radiohead was released in 2003. It was the only classical recording to have ever received four stars in Rolling Stone magazine.

O'Riley plans a second Radiohead album. Hold Me To This: Christopher O'Riley Plays Radiohead, to be released 12 April on World Village/Harmonia Mundi.

O'Riley is also the host of the National Public Radio program "From The Top", on which many young musicians are heard and interviewed. He resides in the Hollywood Hills.
