Christophe Moreau
Christophe Moreau (April 12th 1971 in Vervins) is a french cyclist.
Debuting as a professional in 1995 with the infamous Festina team, Moreau now rides for the French team Credit Agricole. A perennial French hope for a high placement in the Tour de France, Moreau had some excellent results early in his career. It is only recently(2003, 2004) that Moreau has again been the highest placed French finisher after having a run of bad luck for several years in a row. After a series of crashes Moreau was forced to abandon in three consecutive tours. A good time-trialist and a competent climber, Moreau is generally the GC man for Credit Agricole. However, in the big tours and the classics, Moreau generally isnt in the fight for the win. Other than Moreau, Thor Hushovd generally contests stage wins. Moreau has considerable palmares, although many feel he has not lived up his potential and has occasionally been accused of being a cry-baby after altercations in the peloton.
