Chiang Mai University
Chiang Mai University (Thai: มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่) was the first provincial university in Thailand and the first university in Thailand that is named after the city it is located in. On the foot of Suthep mountain between Huey Kaew road and Suthep road is the university's 4 sq km (816 acres) main campus. It is located in Mueang district, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, about 4 kilometers from downtown. The institution was founded in June 1946.
