Catholic League

Throughout history there have been many alliances and organizations known as the Catholic League, including:

Catholic League (USA) – Civil rights group in the United States.
Catholic League (German) – 17th century alliance of German Catholic States during the Thirty Years War
Catholic League (Italian) – Alliance led by the Papal States during the Italian Wars
Catholic League (French) – Faction during the French Wars of Religion

The were also several Holy Leagues, equally Roman Catholic:

Holy League (Mediterranean) – a Catholic states' alliance that won the Battle of Lepanto (1571)
Holy League (Great Turkish war) – composed of European powers against the Ottoman Empire at the end of the 17th century
