Catharsis (comic)
Catharsis is the name of a popular fantasy web comic by a person generally known as JB. It was launched on October 25, 2002, and currently updates on a daily basis.
The comic centers around a woman named Gwen and her pet dragon Rremly, though more characters were eventually added.
One such additional character, Aya the ninja-kitten, was adopted from a comic known as Neko the Kitty. As far as fans have been able to determine, this is the first instance of a comic strip officially adopting another comic's character.
Other characters include: Romulus, Remus, and Bitey the dustballs; Baxter, the mean squirrel; and Sam (nee Cute Guy), Gwen's main love interest.
Gwen occasionally transforms into her inner child, a six year old named Tennibrook, who has a disturbing love of electric clippers, much to the chagrin of the dustballs and Aya.
